Meet John Lopez, Principal Instructor at The Orange Ballroom
John Lopez has been teaching ballroom and nightclub style dancing for over 18 years. He
is an expert instructor in social and competitive styles of both Ballroom and
Latin/Rhythm dances. His specialties include Salsa, Merengue and International &
American styles of Cha-Cha and Rumba, Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango.
John holds a Fred Astaire Associate's Degree for dance instruction, and was a Ballroom
Champion at the Fred Astaire Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, he has
participated in numerous professional dance competitions throughout his career. His
celebrity credits include appearances in television commercials and on episodes of "The
Young and the Restless".
An earnest enjoyment of instructing and participating in dance makes John an
accomplished professional in his field. Many of his own students have succeeded in
participating in various competitions as well, a testament to his talents as an instructor.
